dpa-Custom Content (CC) is the on-demand editorial unit of dpa Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH, Germany's largest news agency. CC provides customised services to suit internal or external communications channels of companies and institutions. The editorial team operates internationally and produces multimedia content for content marketing and corporate publishing.
 
The European Newsroom (enr) is a cooperation project involving 23 European news agencies based in Brussels. Within this framework, the agencies network and exchange information, thereby enlivening and enriching their reporting on Europe and the EU. It provides the agencies with verified facts and professional access to news and sources beyond propaganda and fake news. The enr is a hub of high-quality journalism and integrity in the heart of the EU.
 
We are looking for candidates to contribute editorially and organisationally to the enr team, playing an important role in the production of enr content – text as well as video content and newsletter production – and the overall project management. 
 
In Brussels we are looking for a full-time temporary employee with immediate effect initially until the end January 2026:

  • You work at the editorial processes of the project with the other members of the enr team at the enr offices
  • You compile and write editorial content in English as well as content for social media
  • You develop and produce video content for the enr
  • You assist with documentation and project management
  • You help to organise training programs, professional events and socialising with participating journalists
  • You work with the team on further developing the enr
  • You uphold the journalistic values of the enr while maintain professional and courteous standards in internal and external communications
Du + Deine Stärken
  • You have at least two years of experience in journalism or in the field of politics and international relations
  • You have experience in producing and editing video content for social media as well as editorial video content. 
  • You have knowledge of the European Union and its institutions and affinity with cross-border reporting
  • You have native level spoken and written English. Proficiency in French and German is a plus
  • You have a communicative personality
  • You have intercultural competence
  • You have a structured approach to work
  • You are Brussels based
