dpa-Custom Content (CC) is the on-demand editorial unit of dpa Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH, Germany's largest news agency. CC provides customised services to suit internal or external communications channels of companies and institutions. The editorial team operates internationally and produces multimedia content for content marketing and corporate publishing.

The European Newsroom (enr) is a cooperation project involving 23 European news agencies based in Brussels. Within this framework, the agencies network and exchange information, thereby enlivening and enriching their reporting on Europe and the EU. It provides the agencies with verified facts and professional access to news and sources beyond propaganda and fake news. The enr is a hub of high-quality journalism and integrity in the heart of the EU.

We are looking for candidates to contribute editorially and organisationally to the enr team, playing an important role in the production of enr content – text as well as video content and newsletter production – and the overall project management.

From 1 October 2025, we are looking for a temporary employee for our Brussels office until 31 January 2026 as part of a fixed-term contract agreement Editorial Manager (m/f/d).

The job + The responsibility

You work in the European Newsroom and create editorial content
You will communicate with internal and external stakeholders of the project and engage in networking in Brussels
You are responsible for documenting the project content

You + Your strengths

You have at least two years of experience in journalism or in the field of politics and international relations
You have native level spoken and written English. Proficiency in French and German is a plus
You have a communicative personality and an intercultural competence
You have a structured approach to work
You have a professional manner in both internal and external communications and uphold enr's values

Der Job + Die Verantwortung

Du arbeitest im European Newsroom und erstellst redaktionelle Inhalte
Du kommunizierst mit internen und externen Stakeholdern des Projektes und betreibst Networking in Brüssel
Du kümmerst dich um die Dokumentation der Projektinhalte

Du + Deine Stärken

Du hast mehrjährige Erfahrung im Journalismus und bist mit der Arbeit in internationalen Projekten vertraut
Du sprichst fließend Englisch, gute Kenntnisse in Französisch und in Deutsch sind von Vorteil
Du bist kommunikativ und hast eine hohe interkulturelle Kompetenz
Du bist gut organisiert und arbeitest strukturiert
Du hast ein professionelles Auftreten in der internen sowie externen Kommunikation und trittst für die Werte des enr ein
